How Long is LASIK Recovery?

LASIK Recovery

The thought of a procedure can be scary. But fortunately, LASIK patients experience minimal discomfort during and after the procedure, and many patients can resume normal activity within a few days.

What to Expect During LASIK Recovery

Most patients notice that their vision is better as soon as they sit up from the procedure. We recommend you go home and take a nice long nap, because you deserve it!

By the next day, most patients have already achieved 20/20 vision and there is minimal discomfort, if any at all. It’s important to follow the doctor’s post op instructions, so use your eye drops, avoid rubbing your eyes, and make sure to wear the goggles when you sleep for one week after procedure.

Minimal Recovery Time

Most patients who have surgery on Friday are back to work by Monday, if not sooner, and most patients can return to normal activity within 24 hours with minimal restrictions. With Bladeless LASIK technology, the flap heals completely very quickly with very minimal complications. And just to make sure things are healing well, we will follow up with you for one day, one week, one month and one year post op appointments.

LASIK has minimal recovery time and minimal discomfort, making it easier for you to get back to your life within a few days. So if you’re ready to start your LASIK journey, contact us to schedule your free consultation today!
